Each year you give your family and friends a chocolate eggs and a chocolate bunny as a Easter gift? Maybe they have enough of it? Ate and forgotten. Try something different! Make everyone remember about Easter the whole year!
We have chance to celebrate Easter only once each year. And that`s the fact. Once in a year everybody gather around the table and eat a lot of eggs with joy from Jesus resurrection. The tradition is to give some small presents to share this happiness - usually some egg-shaped sweets. This custom shouldn`t be changed but maybe it`s time to challenge yourself and try to choose something special?
1. All right, it`s Easter time so some presents should be in such spirit. Bunny? Probably not live and not chocolate but a soft artificial bunny that your child can hold while sleeping. Cuddly bunny for a grown up person? Why not! It`s a terrific way to say someone `I love you` in a very special way and in the same time `Happy Easter!`.

2. Plants may also be used for the same purpose. Instead of giving someone a few cut roses you may give spring flowers in a flowerpots - for example tulip, hyacinth or even grass with a small artificial chicken on it. Plants will make the house look more happy, closer to nature and probably survive not only this year Easter.
3 Maybe something from home accessories? An ideal present for children or grown ups might be doorstops - from this occasion especially in rooster design. It looks really nice, serves every home and in this design looks like a piece of spring every season of the year. Because it is practical it can stand in the kitchen for example, and because it looks nice it can hold babies/children door ajar.

4. A dog? It might sound little crazy idea but when you think about it seriously you will see that you can`t give anything more special than a living creature and people are most happily when they get such presents. You have to remember that it`s a huge responsibility to have a pet so that kind of present should be thought through - animals aren`t toys. If you well know the person you will also know if its home is opened for animals.
5. Something that will decorate the house. There is a wide range of Easter decorations on the market. For example a pretty seasonal doorwreath to welcome visitors over the Easter holiday. Hand-crafted with fresh foliage, herbs and moss and decorated with Easter nests - such Easter wreaths should be given few days earlier to serve its purpose as a welcoming wreath.

Velvetbrown will help you find the best Easter gifts!

Jumping with a parachute, bungee-jumping, fast car drive don`t compare to what you can experience while…being in a salt-mine. You probably don`t believe that? You`ve surely never been in Wieliczka Salt Mine.
The Wieliczka Salt Mine is the place well-known on the whole world. Every year more than one million of tourists come to Poland to see one of its most beautiful and legendary treasures. The most famous historical people as Goethe, Nickolaus Copernicus, Emperor Franz Josef, Boleslaw Prus, pope Jan Paul II, Bill Clinton were totally impressed when seeing the mine. The charm and almost magic atmosphere in Wieliczka can give you chills when experiencing it…135 metres underground.
Wieliczka is the only salt mine in the world preserved in such good condition. The deposit of rock salt in Wieliczka has been mined since the 13th century (according to some sources it was even 11th century). It has nine levels and the lowest one goes down to a depth of 327 metres (although tourists tour starts at 65 metre and goes only to 135 metre). Since 1978 Wieliczka Salt Mine is on the UNESCO`s World Heritage List. The numerous pieces of art as altars and statues sculpted in salt needed a costly protection before the humidity and thanks to the help of UNESCO such equipment was installed in the mine.
There are many reasons why Wieliczka is such unique place. It shows a great history of mining due to the conservation of the old galleries and the exhibition of tools used. It gives over two kilometres walk to see all the attractions of the mine. It passes through 20 caves, many of them adorned with sculptures the miners made. Amazingly it is very clean. The walls are sparkling if you hold a light to it. The gangways are held upright by complex wooden structures. The most impressive place is the Underground Cathedral - the wall decorations as The Last Supper, the altar, statues, and even floor and ceiling all are made of salt. The creators were three miners who were spending their spare time this way. It took 68 years of work.

Wieliczka has even got it`s own legend. It`s about Hungarian princes Kinga who was about to marry polish king Boleslaw. The saint Kinga was willing to give a special present to her fiance and her new nation. Before she came to Poland and got married she was given one of the salt mines in Hungary as part of her dowry. She dreamt that salt would be discovered in Poland. So she threw her engagement ring into the mine and prayed for that. When she arrived in Poland miners miraculously found a block of salt and Kinga`s ring in a place shown by a princess. It was a beginning of a great prosperity for Poland.
If you are interested in experiencing something amazing, see the history of mining, feel the atmosphere of one of the oldest salt mines in the world, breath the healthy air, or send a postcard to a friend from 135 metres underground just book in one of cheap flights to Poland and take Wieliczka Salt Mine tour. It might be a great occasion to see also the historical town Krakow and be a trip to Auschwitz.

This type of claim relates to negligent treatment received from Doctors, Surgeons, Dentists, Midwives, Nurses and other health care professionals whether in the NHS or Private practice.
It also covers cosmetic and beauty care procedures such as laser eye surgery claims and laser hair removal claims and indeed all types of cosmetic procedures.
There are grounds for a Medical negligence claim when it can be shown that a practitioner has not exercised what is considered to be the normal standard of care and skill. This can occur in a number of ways.The most common general examples are:
Failures in diagnosis
Diagnosis is the basis of clinical judgment as it determines, firstly, whether there is a need to treat and, secondly, the mode of treatment required. To make a proper diagnosis, the practitioner must, if possible, take a full history, conduct a proper examination and, where appropriate, organize tests. If the practitioner does this, he is unlikely to be liable for misdiagnosis as the courts recognize that diseases and injuries can present in atypical ways, that practitioners are not infallible and that in some cases the state of medical science and art may make diagnosis certain only with the benefit of hindsight.
Errors relating to consent and advice
This generally concerns a medical practitioner`s failure to communicate adequately with the patient. The first area concerns cases where there has been no proper consultation or discussion before treatment, with the result that the patient does not consent to the treatment or part of it. Secondly, many cases involve inherent risks in the proposed mode of treatment, so that the patient consents without full knowledge of significant facts. The third area concerns alleged failure to give the patient adequate advice and warnings whether in a therapeutic or a non-therapeutic context.
Substandard treatment
Many medical malpractice actions derive from accidents occasioned during the course of treatment or during after-care. In a review of five hundred cases contained within the Medical Protection Society files, Leahy-Taylor, in Chapter 4 of The Doctor and Negligence (Pitman Medical, 1971), formed the view that the most common incidents concerning allegations of substandard treatment arose in cases involving retained swabs and other instruments after operations, burns, anaesthetic mishaps and cases where the wrong operation was performed. The vast bulk of such cases never get to trial.
Drug and anaesthetic accidents
The administration of an incorrect drug or an incorrect volume of the drug, including anaesthetics, will normally give rise to liability. Frequently the mishap arises from a breakdown in communication between the practitioner who prescribed the drug and the practitioner who administered it. In Collins v Hertfordshire County Council (1947) (page 182), a junior house surgeon misheard a consultant`s prescription and ordered from the pharmacist cocaine instead of procaine. As a result the patient was administered with a lethal dose. Hilbery J found the house surgeon, consultant and hospital liable. Similarly, where nurses misread a prescription and administered a lethal six ounces of paraldehyde instead of six drachms, they acted negligently (Strangways-Lesmere v Clayton (1936) (page 323). A ward sister was also found negligent for allowing four extra injections of streptomycin over and above the thirty prescribed to a patient who as a consequence suffered permanent loss of balance (Smith v Brighton and Lewes Hospital Management Committee (1958) (page 318).

Retained surgical products
The Medical Defence Union in a chapter headed `Perennial Pitfalls` in their 1983 annual report indicated that some 203 cases were reported to it from all over the world in respect of a variety of retained foreign bodies left in patients which included 70 instruments, 54 swabs and 23 sutures (see Giesen: 1988, page 139 footnote 79). Giesen provides interesting examples of tissues, swabs, sponges, packs, clamps, wires, tubes and forceps which illustrate the familiarity of this type of claim. It will be appreciated that once a claimant has proved that the retained body was left in as a result of the operation or treatment undertaken by the defendants, a good prospect of establishing liability arises. Accordingly most of these type of cases are settled (cf Leahy-Taylor (ibid) for such examples involving a swab left in after a caesarean operation, a drain tube left in after a mastectomy, and a Spencer Wells clip left in after an operation.)
Childbirth, sterilization and contraception
Given the volume of prospective mothers receiving medical care throughout their pregnancy and at childbirth, it is not surprising that allegations of negligence frequently arise. This is not only because of the inherent hazards of childbirth itself, but also because of the variety of risks that can arise throughout pregnancy and at labour connected with drugs affecting the mother and foetus, anaesthetic mishaps during labour, accidents in the use of forceps and accidents during caesarean sections. The House of Lords in the leading cases of Whitehouse v Jordan (1981) (page 341) and Sidaway v Board of Governors of the Bethlem Royal Hospital and the Maudsley Hospital (1985) (page 314) has affirmed that the medical standard of care espoused in Bolam (1957) (page 166) applies to all aspects of diagnosis, treatment and advice in matters of pregnancy, childbirth, sterilization and contraception.

How to make a Medical Negligence Claim

If you have a problem which falls broadly into the subcategories above then please contact us immediately. All enquires are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
As you can see, each and every situation is different and will depend on whether the practitioner has deviated from what are to considered to be the normal standards of good clinical practice. It will therefore always be a question of fact in each individual case.

If you have been injured or sustained any loss as a direct result of a practitioners negligence please complete the medical negligence claim assessment form.
There are few other types of claims releted to medicine. Better knock on wood, but it`s good to know about then:

* Ankle injury claims
* Arm injury claims
* Asthma compensation claims
* Back injury claims
* Burns claims
* Dental claims
* Eye injury claims
* Facial injury claims
* Finger injury claims
* Food poisoning claims

Turning your travels into home decorations.
Heading out of town for a long weekend, or maybe you have a business trip abroad? Whether it is a roadtrip to Charleston, a romantic getaway to Europe, or even a camping adventure in North Georgia, there are always opportunities to collect treasures and mementos from your travels. Here you will find quick tips and easy ideas for bringing back something memorable from even the most mundane of destinations.
First take a look at your itinerary, any pockets of time at leisure? It doesn`t have to be more than an hour or so to make it worth finding out a local specialty and locating a source. Okay, so you`ve rolled your eyes, groaned and said it is all business, no leisure at all. Believe it or not, you can even get novel items these days in the airport boutiques, and I don`t mean T-shirts or ball caps. (Of course, being a captive consumer at the terminal shops, you will pay more, chalk it up to part of the experience!) Many airports are becoming regular shopping meccas for the traveler short on time. Look for specialty retailers showcasing locally made goods, whether it is a special jam or hot sauce, or a postcard made in copper (a regional mineral of wealth), favorite chocolates (I used to buy See`s, only available on the West Coast and in Hawaii.) For a true collectible try a snow globe specific to that city, or even a refrigerator magnet particular to the same. This can be a fun way to keep track of where you`ve been despite the jet lag and travel snafus.
Now, if you do have a bit of time to yourself or maybe this is a weekend of playing hooky from the rest of the world, you`ll have ample opportunities to seek out local flavor. If staying in a larger hotel, always avail yourself of the concierge, they most often know the places to go, what to buy, what to pay, and other useful tidbits. (I once did an entire 30 day overseas trip with just air and hotel, and relied entirely on the concierge to plan my daily itinerary, it was personal and perfect!)Better yet, if you are staying in a bed and breakfast or other homestyle accommodation, the owners or managers will be able to provide this information too. In some cases, these places will sell decorative elements from the rooms (or sometimes accessories for scented home like stylish diffuser sticks or candles). Of course, many hotels do offer lines of product with their logo and such, if it has been a truly special stay, this may be all you need or want. I`ve been to some, such as the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina, that offered holiday ornaments featuring their property. I collect these so this was an ideal memento of my visit.
I do know some who collect ashtrays and towels and have been known to rely on `borrowing` these from rooms and bars. Most embarrassing when one is caught, (a fellow traveler was recently!) Stick to items you can buy. Besides where would you display a large collection of ashtrays and hotel towels?? If determined to have it for free, consider limiting yourself to matchbooks, and the wine cork from dinner.

The most important part about anything bought along the way is the story attached to it. So always try to record, at the minimum, where you purchased, the date, and what you paid. More interesting, of course, is who you were with and what was the occasion. What inspired you to pick up this treasure? You might be surprised to learn how fascinating goods can become once you know their history. It is much like antiquing, the value comes in knowing the provenance of the piece. These stories will be lost if you don`t take care to write them down and protect them, however insignificant you think they may sound, someone later may be endeared by it. (I still regret no knowing the stories behind many of the cherished elements I inherited some fifteen years ago, when my mother died suddenly. While certainly she had shared the tales while we were growing up, like most children, especially teenagers, I didn`t pay attention, not realizing, I wouldn`t get a chance to ask again. And, she had great stories!)It is always more interesting and personal to be able to incorporate your own trips and adventures in your interior than merely fill it with a lot of meaningless but pretty decorative elements. I often work with clients in displaying collections they have created and mementos they have saved. Those who do not have as many, I encourage to seek out what means something them, and I also take care to bring them elements that speak to their interests and preferences, sometimes their hopes and dreams. We all reflect what we surround ourselves withHealth Fitness Articles, it is up to us to make sure it inspires and makes us smile.

Happy trails!

Would you let your kids wear watches? If you have to choose some thing between watches and cellphones to award your kids, what`s your choice and why? See the answers through the full article.
No parents want their kids to be weaker or less active then their peers. Every child should develop his own talent. However, it is a mistake to count on school discipline alone to mold your kids. Good characters are growing from the combinations of school discipline and parenting.

Due to the daily working load, many parents find weary or losing patience in educating kids. And persistent preaching is generally considered not effective and tedious both by parents and children. An effective and easy way is introducing the element of playing into familial parenting.

Playing, the nature of kids and should not be deprived form a kid`s childhood. Also, knowledge and skills are faster learned in the process of playing. For parents, playing with their children is a pleasure, most people enjoy it, which serves a rest to their heart and soul.
Outdoor activities like go camping on weekends, go fishing, holding a private football match with family and friends, or simply go park. Such occasions all are the perfect opportunities to teach kids abilities, discipline and skills. In a camping, kids knows better about the speaking `no free lunch`, every thing come from efforts. In a competing match, kids should be taught the spirit of team working, in order to win. Fly your imaginations, and every thing can do outdoor.

The best indoor play with kids are assembly 3D puzzles, which are made of high quality plywood and are suitable for people of all ages. Children like playing puzzles, especially the color and shape-riching 3D puzzles. It`s quite a challenge for them without help though. Playing with them to build the puzzle and when it is accomplished, confidence and self proud are formed within them.
Puzzles also enhance the assembly of their hands and minds. The brain uses both sides (right and left) when it sees and thinks. This helps children to better unconsciously take in the content of shapes and colors contained in the puzzles, resulting in improved thinking and reacting ability. Unlike usual puzzle, a 3D puzzle helps kids better understand the space and shape, which will give them an upper hand in dealing with geometry.

Parents will get better results if they mix in telling some stories as well for the kids. Each puzzle should be specially chosen in themes that have either special history or legend. Depicting the stories while teaching them how to build the puzzle, which will make the interesting activity more pleasant. And you may find your kids gaining interests in history or other aspects after that. That is it, to help your kids build a wide interests and hobbies, which will explore the maximum potentials out of them.

Educate kids should be put in the first place of parents` life. Try to playing with them, however, make the process happy and easy. Happy parenting.

Christmas is coming! Shopping is almost ending and Christmas tree is all dressed up. A pleasant time is beginning - time for family gatherings, sitting around the table, eating tasty food and sharing happy moments with each other. Those few days are very unique. To make an atmosphere even more special think about how you can lay the table.
Laying the table is very important when it comes to formal meeting. When we are throwing a party and inviting a lots of guests we usually want to make it very fancy and elegant. This is the reason why dressing the best clothes we have, serving great food. We pay most of our attention to dining room and that`s why we light the candles, have beautiful tablecloth and serve food in our best service. And I believe that it`s a good idea to make Christmas Eve supper in such formal style.
First you might think about the guests - how many members of family you are willing to invite and how you want to arrange them. Sometimes when we have to small table it is best to go somewhere else, invite less people or just put small tables around the big one where we could put dishes or sit the children. After knowing that everything is all right and we have enough space we can make a schedule. Draw a scheme of a table and write names of guests in place you want to sit them - this will help organize dishes and silverware. As in many countries forks, bread plate, spreader, and napkin are to the left, knives, spoons, cups, and saucers are to the right it may change in some cases. For instance if you know that aunt Murial is left-handed and hates eating fish you will put her silverware on the other side than other guests and also keep the herring away from her.
Next, choose the right tablecloth and napkins. Those elements of home accessories are very important while hosting formal dinner. The tablecloth should be of course clean and elegant. But don`t put your favourite and best you have. While having different kinds of dishes on the table and hosting many different people there is a big chance that some food might land on the table not on the plate. You will be all nervous and the holiday atmosphere will be ruined for you. If it comes to a pattern the tablecloth and napkins should probably have similar elements or colours as for example small stars, Christmas trees or Santas. They can also be in solid colours, red, green or white with no elements on them.
Third, don`t forget to decorate the table. Use your imagination but also try to have something that will harmonize with other decorations. Maybe you can go to a forest, find some pine cones and put three or four on the table and bowls full of them on other furniture. You can also tie napkin and cutlery together with a plaincoloured ribbon, light little red candles which putted in small bowls will lend a festive, celebratory feeling.

When the place settings is done, meal is ready and the presents are under the Christmas tree you can just look outside the window, watch the neighbours door wreaths, see how snow beautifully falls and wait for your guests to come.
